The web application If these buildings could speak. A historical and architectural tour of Vaudreuil-Dorion will give you the opportunity to discover the buildings, people, and places that shaped the development of the city in the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries.

HERITAGE AT YOUR FINGERTIPS

This historical tour can be accessed at www.circuitvd.ca. The web application is customized for cell phones, tablets, and personal computers (no download is necessary). Currently, the tour showcases 11 buildings and sites spread over 6 neighborhoods in the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion. The historical period spans all the way back to the seigneurial period and tells of the area’s development until now. Therefore, you can discover the story of Narcisse Valois’ house (1850) as well as the tales behind more modern buildings such as Harwood Elementary School (1966-1967)

Designed as a reference tool, the heritage tour also contains a selective bibliography as well as the whole of archival, documentary, and historical references used in the writing of its texts, videos and images.
